ACID in fintech: double-entry, deadlocks and the cost of getting it wrong

This talk is about double-entry accounting in fintech: why it underpins every payments system, the concurrency and correctness challenges engineers regularly hit when two transactions collide over the same balance, and the practical options for solving them. You will discover a clear picture of the trade-offs and a mental checklist for choosing between them on your own codebase.
